SGX Welcomes Hong Leong Finance as Full Sponsor on Catalist

Singapore Exchange (SGX) has welcomed Hong Leong Finance Limited (HLFL) as a Full Sponsor on Catalist, its sponsor-supervised board for growth companies.

As a full sponsor, HLFL will be able to introduce new listings to the Catalist board and oversee the company’s compliance with SGX listing rules.

The addition of HLFL brings Catalist’s Sponsor pool to 10 full sponsors and nine continuing sponsors.

SGX said it will continue to widen the pool of Sponsors.

Currently, Catalist is home to a total of 136 listed companies.

HSBC Joins SGX Derivatives Market

The Singapore Exchange (SGX) on Monday announced that The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC) has joined its derivatives market as a trading and clearing member.

The addition of HSBC brings the number of trading members and clearing members in the derivatives market to 40 and 29 respectively, up 29 per cent and 12 per cent from 31 and 26 a year earlier.

In addition, there are 11 clearing members for the clearing of OTC traded financial derivatives on SGX AsiaClear. The securities market, meanwhile, has 30 trading members and 29 clearing members.
